What happens when a photographer and a nurse are cloistered, for quarantine reasons, in just one space, the house?
The project arises in the context of Covid and, consequently, of my own quarantine.What two people who barely know each other, who don't speak the same language, do locked in an apartment for 10 days.The next day, after arriving in Dubai, we were in contact with a person who had Covid... and this is the beginning of our story, of the project! At beginning we started watching movies, talking, we didn't know each other very well. Me, Portuguese, not very fluent in English, Ajla, Albanian, who moved to Italy at the age of 10 and now lives in Dubai (speaks a lot of languages). The apartment had a wonderful view of the Marina and, in conversation, I commented to Ajla: - If only I had my tripod, I would take the opportunity to take some pictures at the end of the day of this wonderful view.To which Ajla replies: I can be your tripod!, we had a laugh and decided to reproduce the idea. It was very easy to photograph Ajla and the picture ended up to be very interesting.I asked her if she wanted some portraits.All the photos came out well the first-time. So, we were just spending time doing what we liked.As the photos were so good, I thought there was potential to do a photo report on the quarantine…I spoke to Ajla who agreed right away... and so our story began.
